The film’s director and producer is Jacek Miedlar. The project was entirely funded by private contributions and donations from those committed to sharing the truth about this painful chapter of our history. The film will be screened with English subtitles, making it accessible to non-Polish speakers.
Why Should You Attend?
The film “Neighbours” is not just a documentary; it is also an act of remembrance for the victims of a tragedy that has long been forgotten or marginalised. For many Poles, Volhynia symbolises the loss and suffering that took place in the eastern borderlands of the Polish Republic. Commemorating these events is our duty as a nation that respects its roots and seeks to preserve the memory of the past for future generations.
From a patriotic perspective, the film “Neighbours” is an important voice in defending historical truth. It reminds us of the events that occurred in our history, which continue to impact our international relations and national identity. Through such initiatives, we can educate younger generations and remind them of the value of human life, peace, and reconciliation, as well as the need to remember those who perished so that their sacrifice is never forgotten.
